We are excited to confirm the running of the Carl Cox Motorsport Cup for the 2021-22 season, our 11th year. We are very privileged to have the support again from Carl who is back for his sixth year as our naming rights sponsor.

2020/2021 - Final points tally

With the cancellation of Motofest I proposed to MNZ to include the Cup as a support class at the final NZSBK Round at Taupo. When Rod Price called me a few days out from the event saying they would like to have us there it was great news but set off the scramble to get as many Cup Racers there as possible.

We had a total of 30 entries and we did miss a few regulars who we hope will be back at Motofest. After lots of track time on Friday afternoon and more official practice Saturday morning we were all set for qualy. Pole times were set by Benny Cook on the 250’s and making a first time Cup appearance Luca Durning on the MTF Finance Barrys Point Road Ninja 400 on a fast and warming track. Race 1

Where do I begin? What an epic start to our tenth season of Cup competition! So much great racing, from our most experienced Cup campaigners to our complete newcomers.

Due to level 2 restrictions, gatherings are limited to 10 people maximum.

This is an exclusive offer to the Carl Cox Motorsport Cup riders, including use of the race track, a garage and BMMP have generously included accommodation for up to 22 people in their accommodation block (normally $65 per night).

With the announcement of season 10 of the Carl Cox Motorsport Cup things are well underway preparing for an awesome season of Cup racing. Changes to the AMCC program have made room for 4 races at each round! This will of course include our legendary Le Mans start race and 3 x grid starts. Plenty of track time especially if you cross enter to the Junior or intermediate classes.
